Iben Yde
PhD, Advisor
Iben Yde is expert in regulation and framework development for new technologies within defense and security and advises on responsible AI development and use, as well as AI governance and strategy.
She has extensive experience in strategic and operational legal counseling in the defense sector, including weapons screenings and export controls.
With over 13 years of experience in the Danish Armed Forces and several deployments in international operations, Iben has developed deep expertise in the military use of technology. She holds a PhD in autonomous weapons systems and has been a key figure in establishing the Institute for Military Technology at the Defence Academy.
Iben has represented Denmark at both the United Nations and NATO and is an experienced lecturer, having delivered guest lectures at institutions such as Stanford University and the Institute for International Humanitarian Law. She is also the lead editor and co-author of the book Smart War – Military Use of Artificial Intelligence.

Rune Raunow
Partner, MSc, Advisor
Rune Raunow is an expert in defence/intelligence technology and business development.
Rune has more than 20 years of experience delivering senior-level advisory and complex solutions to defence forces, intelligence agencies and law enforcement. Rune holds a Masters degree in Computer Science and has a deep background in software design, development and integration. He has extensive experience in defence applications of technology to enable joint all/multi-domain integration including military interoperability, ISR, AI and security standards.
He has successfully led and negotiated several major defence/intelligence contract tenders both from customer and industry side and held responsibilities for business strategy development and execution including partnering with global and local technology/service suppliers.
As an experienced presenter and communicator of the applications, impact and constraints of complex defence technologies, Rune has presented and held positions in NATO, commercial and academia conferences and advisory bodies.

Mette Mai Skovgaard Jacobsen
MSc, Consultant
Mette Mai Skovgaard Jacobsen specializes in addressing complex societal challenges and works with strategy and cross-sector problem-solving.
With an academic background in business economics and philosophy from Copenhagen Business School, she applies a philosophical framework to analyze and advise at the intersection of the public sector, business, and citizens. She leverages philosophy’s inquisitive nature to elaborate on, explore, and challenge business as usual.
Mette has previously conducted market analyses in sectors including energy, retail, and finance. She brings an analytical approach grounded in qualitative methods and identifies strategic opportunities based on qualitative insights.

Nikoline Korsager
MSc, Consultant
Nikoline Korsager is consultant with a strong background in defence, foreign policy, and international security cooperation.
She has direct experience from the Danish Defence Command, where she managed international stabilisation programmes in Africa and the Middle East in close coordination with the Danish Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defence, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Before joining Rethink, Nikoline worked with public affairs on defence industry engagement across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and the US. She also gained diplomatic experience at the Danish Embassy in Washington D.C., focusing on US foreign policy, Arctic developments, and cyber issues.
Nikoline holds an MSc in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen, with a thesis on foreign policy and protection of critical energy infrastructure in the Nordics, and a BSc in Political Science from the University of Southern Denmark.

Peter Dahl Thruelsen
Partner, PhD, Advisor
Peter Dahl Thruelsen is partner and co-founder of Rethink Advisory with deep expertise in strategy, defence transformation, and organizational development.
He has more than 25 years of experience from the Danish Armed Forces, including senior executive roles in defence intelligence, education, and international operations, and has been deployed five times abroad. Peter holds a PhD in international politics and has led major organizational change and system implementation projects across the defence domain.
In recent years, he has played a central role in some of the largest transformation initiatives in the Danish defence sector, including the redesign of materiel acquisition processes, implementation of new governance and management models, and the establishment of a permanent business development unit. He combines strategic insight with practical experience in linking materiel and capability planning to operational readiness and political priorities.
Peter is furthermore an experienced advisor on geopolitics, macro trends, and public-private collaboration. He has extensive experience in developing cross-sector partnerships and triple-helix models that bridge industry, government, and academia.

Stine Arensbach
Partner, PhD, Advisor
Stine Degnegaard Arensbach is partner and co-founder of Rethink Advisory with deep expertise in strategy, transformation, and complex problem solving in the defence sector and beyond.
She has led major transformation and implementation projects in the defence domain, including the design of new materiel acquisition processes, governance models, and capability development frameworks. Her work focuses on bridging political priorities, operational needs, and industrial capabilities – always with a strong emphasis on practical implementation and organisational anchoring.
Stine holds a PhD in wicked problems and strategic co-creation from the Royal Danish Academy in collaboration with Stanford University. She combines academic insight with hands-on experience, enabling her to design and drive large-scale transformation programmes in highly complex environments.
Stine is an experienced speaker and has taught strategic co-creation at Copenhagen Business School, the Rotterdam School of Management, and Stanford University.

Flemming Lentfer
Associated partner, General, Advisor
Flemming Lentfer is a former four-star general in the Royal Danish Air Force with extensive expertise in military leadership, strategic development and execution, capability planning, joint operations, and geopolitics. He also has deep knowledge of the defence industry, the logistics enterprise, and corporate management.
Flemming brings more than 41 years of service in the Danish Armed Forces.
He previously served as Denmark’s Chief of Defence and as Director General of the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO), where he simultaneously acted as National Armaments Director.
Flemming has substantial experience with NATO, the EU, and Nordic defence cooperation, and has negotiated bilateral and multilateral agreements on operations, capabilities, and materiel/IT. He has led the preparation of military recommendations for several Danish Defence Agreements and overseen their subsequent implementation.

Louise Dinesen

Louise Dinesen is an business and crisis psychologist who advises on strategic and organizational prevention, resilience and psychological safety, crisis leadership, and leadership development.
For more than 15 years, Louise has advised top executives, leadership teams and organizations through periods of transition. She has both practical and research experience in developing resilient organizations and has specialized in behavioral change under unique conditions — including political environments, the armed forces, and the film and performing arts sectors.
Louise is a government-certified occupational health advisor, authorized by the Danish Working Environment Authority. She brings hands-on experience from working with serious regulatory cases, media crises, and organizational emergencies.
For many years, she has been affiliated with the Danish Armed Forces as an external examiner for the Defence Master’s Programme and as a lead advisor for executive development.

Torben Dalgaard

Torben Dalgaard is an expert in strategy, leadership, and digital transformation with more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of IT, business, and public sector leadership.
He has served as CIO of the Capital Region of Denmark, IT leader at Danske Bank, and advisor on major transformation programmes across healthcare, finance, energy, transport, and government. Torben has led complex change initiatives, digitalisation programmes, and turnaround efforts in critical sectors, always bridging vision, politics, markets, and concrete execution.
Torben holds a Master’s degree in Mathematical Planning and has completed executive programmes at INSEAD and UC Berkeley/DTU. He brings deep expertise in governance, strategy execution, and leadership advisory, supporting executive teams and boards in navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and balancing control, agility, and impact.
As a seasoned advisor and communicator, Torben has extensive experience in guiding top management teams through transformation, enabling strategic clarity and organisational resilience.
